Abstract. The studies were done in two specialist farms. The most popular varieties of anthurium (Anthurium cultorum Schott) in Poland were tested. They were: ‘Baron’, ‘Choco’, ‘Midori’, ‘Pistache’, ‘President’ and ‘Tropical’. The plants were grown in expanded clay with drip fertigation system. The yield and influences of cultivar and real solation were analysed. It was found that the lowest yield was from November to January, but highest from May to August. Dynamics of yielding was covered with the curve of the real solation. The highest yield was for ‘Tropical’ and ‘Midori’, lower for ‘Pistache’ and ‘Choco’, and the lowest for ‘President’ and ‘Baron’.

Summary

The studies were carried out since 2002 till 2004. The most popular cultivars of anthurium (Anthurium cultorum Schott) in Poland were tested. Plants were grown in expanded clay with application of fertigation system. The most productive variety was ‘Tropical’ (64.4 flowers·m-2) a next ‘Midori’ (61.9), ‘Choco’ (55.9), ‘Pistache’ (53.1), ‘Baron’ (40.9) and ‘President’ (34.2). Yearly tendency of anthurium yielding was found. During autumn-winter period (November-January) there was found a decreasing tendency to flowers number, but in the summer time (May-August) the flower yield reached its maximum. Real solation had an important influence on the level of anthurium blooming.
